Aims & Scope
Asian Journal of Rural Development is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publish latest information on rural development in developing countries from environmental management to technical progress, poverty and women’s studies. Scope of the journal includes: Policy and development, land reform, employment, land and water resources, organic farming, biotechnology, micro-finance, education and extension, health and nutrition.

About Editor-in-Chief
Prof. Gazi Mahabubul Alam has worked for both in institution of higher education and international partner for development. He has published significantly with the international journals. His articles receive a wider number of citations. Many occasions, his papers have received the award of best cited papers. . He has been shouldering the responsibility of the Vice-President of the Asian Council of Science Editor. He has also been working with the editorial board of a number of international journals.His works: the role of Technical and Vocational Education on National Development of Bangladesh and The role Agriculture Education on National Development of Bangladesh are widely cited and internationally recognised research papers. Gazi has been actively involved with both theoretical and practical branches of development studies.

Further to his MBA studied in the USA, he completed his MA from the University of Sussex and PhD from the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2014, Gazi received the Fellowship (FRSA) from the Royal Society of Arts for his extensive contribution on Skills Development. As part of his career with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), he was one of the main contributors in drafting Skills Development Policy in Bangladesh. Prof. Gazi has worked a number of countries that include Malaysia, Bangladesh, UK, Australia and the USA.

Prof. Gazi has been identified as an influential speaker for seminar, symposium, workshop, training and classes. He can strongly stimulus the audience while he talks various issues especially education & development, philosophy of education, education business, public and economic policy, education economics and policy, research methodology, writing manuscript and professional development. With a vast, wider and multi- disciplinary experience of research, teaching, and education background, Prof. Alam can serve the need of various schools/ faculties (i.e. School of Education, School of Business and management, School of Economics and School of Public Policy and Administration). Prof. Gazis mosaic background of education, personal development from an underprivileged background and diversified career make him keen work for the partner for development of developing nation.
